Blog Entry 1 - Complaint Letter

 




For this week, we learned about Consumer Complaints and how we can assert our rights to get the products we purchased in the conditions we expect them to perform. As a person who rarely does any self-purchases, this is very helpful for me to really save me in situations where my right as a buyer is ignored. That is why for my first Blog Entry, I will be writing a hypothetical complaint letter.

For context, I don't really have that much of a need to purchase a lot of things. I am privileged and lucky that all of my needs are currently met (Except for water, as I have a running issue with running water in my household, let's not talk about that). Well anyway, for those readers who happen to stumble in my blog, I would like all of you to use this blog as a reference in the event that you need to make your own complaint. 

My Complaint will be about the time that I ordered a glassware set but one of the pieces in the set broke on the way to my house from transit.

Subject: Request for Replacement – Damaged Glassware Set Upon Delivery

However, upon delivery, I discovered that one of the glassware pieces was broken while the packaging of the delivery was not that thick to preserve the integrity of the box.

Kindly let me know the steps required to process this request. For your reference, I have attached copies of my transaction receipt, order confirmation, and photos of the damaged item.
